1. Account Terms1.1 Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use Shopify.1.2 Registration: You must provide accurate, complete, and current information during the registration process. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activities that occur under your account.1.3 Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your password and other credentials. You must notify Shopify immediately if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account.2. Payments and Fees2.1 Subscription Fees: Shopify charges a subscription fee based on the plan you select. Prices are subject to change with notice.2.2 Transaction Fees: Additional fees may apply to transactions made through the platform, particularly when using Shopify Payments.2.3 Billing Cycle: Subscription fees are billed on a recurring basis, in accordance with your chosen billing cycle (monthly or annually).3. Acceptable Use3.1 Prohibited Products: You may not sell illegal, harmful, or prohibited products, including firearms, counterfeit goods, or adult content.3.2 Platform Usage: You must not misuse the platform, engage in illegal activities, or cause harm to others through your use of Shopify.4. Intellectual Property Rights4.1 Shopify Ownership: All design, software, and logos related to Shopify are the property of the Company and are protected by national and international laws.4.2 User Content: You retain ownership of all content you post on your store. However, you grant Shopify a license to use your content for platform operations.5. Termination5.1 User Termination: You may terminate your account at any time. Prepaid fees are non-refundable.5.2 Shopify Termination: Shopify reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.6. Limitation of Liability6.1 Warranty Disclaimer: Shopify does not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. The platform is provided "as-is."6.2 Indemnification: You agree to indemnify Shopify against any claims arising from your use of the platform.7. Modifications and Updates7.1 Service and Price Changes: Shopify reserves the right to modify or discontinue services and change prices with prior notice.8. Dispute Resolution8.1 Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.8.2 Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.9.
